Christa, the grand matriarchal glitter knitter, brings her expertise to the Yarn Garage. She posses the knowledge of the old world techniques of knitting socks. Start at the cuff, continue on to the heel and come back for the third lesson to complete the toe. She captures the intricacies and nuances of knitting with over 60 years of experience.

He dresses like a rock star, complete with a shimmering shirt, black jeans and eye-catching bling on his fingers. He describes himself as “loud and brassy” and once dreamed of becoming an actor. But talk to Steven Berg for even a minute and you’ll discover his true lifelong passion.

Jessie has been knitting for 4 years. Her mother taught her and introduced her to Steven. She is the manager of the Yarn Garage and spends some days at the new shop, StevenBe. She enjoys knitting for her family and friends and is interested in learning anything and everything about knitting and crocheting. She was a studio art/art history double major in college so she likes anything creative. That is why working with Steven is perfect!

Hi! My name is Jordan. I am 15 years old and have been knitting since I was 10. Steven is my uncle and I work with him on Saturdays. Hope to see you soon.

Lori Phillps

A Master Knitter in her own right, a class from her is a joy to take. She knows her needles. Knitting since age 8. Passionate knitter for the last 25 years. My favorite thing is to teach. I love making children's things, I love felting. I do more accessories than sweaters. I have been teaching 4 years. The rest of my life is being a mom to three teenage daughters, that is enough to scare you. She is also a very very good cook. Just ask Steven.
